What a brilliant idea this site is - well done Tracy, it's beautifully done. June had a massive personality and a wicked sense of humour. When I first met her - way back in 1989 she called me a "tart" with a cheeky glint in her eye and the nickname stuck! I blame her for Peter and I moving to Milton Keynes as we used to come up for Sunday lunch with June,Dave and Paul and then trawl round show houses - well what else was there to do on a Sunday afternoon. Low and behold we bought one and moved up! It didn't take long for Ann & Stuart to follow suit and then John & Queenie! So all the Chards were in MK! When Peter and I divorced June still kept in touch with me & the girls. Phoning for a chat and a gossip and inviting us round for a cup of tea. Ruby's 1st comment on hearing of June's passing was "Oh no, but she had the nicest biscuits..." Even though her and John were going through so many medical problems of their own, they would still enquire about my family, especially Bernard who like one of June's friends has MND. She was devoted to her grandchildren and her house was covered in their photos. She would burst with pride when talking about ALL their achievements! She certainly liked to get her groove on - only last week when I discovered forgotten memories in my loft I found photos of June dancing away at Peter's 30th birthday party. If I knew how to get my scanner going I'd post them on here - perhaps I'll just deliver them to Tracy - the techie expert. As you all know June was extremely house proud so I'll never forget the look on her and Queenie's faces when we went to a caravan park near Bournemouth (which had dialysis facilities for Dave)for a mini holiday and saw caravan!!! LOL We're thinking of you all. Lindsay, India & Ruby Chard xxx
