Thoughts

June and I started school together, and continued, infants, juniors, grammar school, and then out on the town. I was with her when she met Dave and she was with me when I met my husband. What a pair we were (little and large) but did we laugh. We lost touch when she moved to Bletchley, no phones at that time. But friends reunited got us together again. Health issues put off our meeting again, and that makes me so sad. She was such an important part of my life from five to twenty one.Sadly we didn't even have cameras then. I'll never forget 'I'm June in January'. I will visit this site again. So Many Memories
8th April 2010
The earliest memory I can recall of June was when she was running a seaside guest house with Dave - in Bournemouth, I think it was. I think it was 'off season' and June and Dave had arranged a big family gathering. Can't remember how old I was but it was a happy time. June was always life and soul at any family gathering and it only seems like yesterday when she was dancing away at Joan's 80th birthday party. Later on when Pam and I were on our first overseas posting in Bonn (about 1991) June and Dave came over to visit us. We had arranged Dialysis for Dave and they both seemed to take this in their stride and not as some huge daunting problem. Others have commented on this excellent website how June liked to be a modern lady and even back then in Germany I think she was the first person we knew with a dishwasher. After the visit, June used to go and visit our cat Tom when he was in quarantine to take him treats - even though she didn't really like cats much at all. June had a definite sense of fun - who else would name dogs; Rigsby, Reggie and Rodney? After Dave has passed away and June was sharing her life with John, I remember them both very kindly inviting me a guest to John's Captain's Day at Buckingham Golf Club and ensuring that I was made most welcome. June - you left us very suddenly without a chance to say goodbye but you have left us with happy memories of your sense of fun and spirit. Rest peacefully. Love Gary & Pam Peers

June,Dave and Paul moved next door to us over thirty years ago,in that time we not only had lovely neighbours but true friends.from that day to this never a crossed word, but a great deal of banter as our sense of humour was on the same par as Junes, which will now be greatly missed. When June and John got married he also became a good friend. Our thoughts are with John,Paul and Tracy also John,Joan and all Junes family.
